Sandals · Rodney Bay · Adults-only all-inclusive

Sandals Grande St Lucian

The postcard peninsula between Rodney Bay and Pigeon Island. Best of the three Sandals St Lucia if you want walkable Reduit Beach + Gros Islet.

Sandals · Choc Bay · Adults-only all-inclusive

Sandals Halcyon Beach

The quiet middle sister. Adults-only, calmer than Grande, closer to Castries. Best of the three Sandals if you want intimate over lively.

Sandals · Castries · Adults-only all-inclusive

Sandals Regency La Toc

The largest of the three, hillside estate with golf, 210-acre grounds. Best of the three Sandals if you want space, tiered ocean views and a resort that feels like a small town.

Independent · Soufrière · Adults-preferred luxury

Jade Mountain

29 open-fourth-wall “sanctuaries” facing Gros and Petit Piton. No TVs, private infinity pool per room, sister to Anse Chastanet. From $1,200 per night.

Independent · Cap Estate · Boutique luxury

Cap Maison

Cliff-perched, Cliff at Cap dining, private-pool suites and a rope-swing beach signal. Adults-preferred with quiet family capacity. Under-the-radar honeymoon pick.

Independent · Anse Chastanet · Reef + rainforest

Anse Chastanet

Jade Mountain’s sister resort on a protected bay with a PADI dive shop on the beach. Rooms staggered into the hillside, jungle-forward, mid-luxury pricing.

Two St Lucias, two calculations

All-inclusive or independent boutique. Which one fits your trip.

All-inclusive (Sandals, BodyHoliday, Coconut Bay, Windjammer)

Priced per couple per night. Food, drinks, most non-motorised watersports and tips included. Book-and-forget. Best for first-time St Lucia travellers, honeymooners on a fixed budget, families who want the kids-club to run itself.

  • From $600 to $2,000 per couple per night
  • Adult-only options (all three Sandals St Lucia, Rendezvous, Serenity)
  • Airport transfer usually included on premium tiers
  • Off-property excursions still cost extra
  • Wedding + honeymoon packages are the strongest use-case

Independent boutique (Jade Mountain, Anse Chastanet, Cap Maison, Ladera, StoneField)

Priced per room per night. Food and drinks à la carte or dining plan. Best for repeat Caribbean travellers, design-forward couples, foodies who want to eat at Cliff at Cap or Jade Mountain Club rather than at a resort buffet.

  • From $450 (StoneField) to $3,500+ (Jade Mountain Galaxy) per night
  • Piton-view rooms are almost exclusively an independent-boutique story
  • Book the airport transfer separately (US$120 to US$200 return)
  • Dining plans available if you want the all-in comfort
  • Off-property Soufrière restaurants (Orlando’s, Chateau Mygo) open up

Cruise stopover · 8 hours from Castries

Off the ship at Pointe Seraphine. Eight hours before boarding.

Pointe Seraphine and La Place Carenage handle the cruise berths in Castries. The good day-trips: Sulphur Springs mud bath + Toraille Waterfall combo tour (5 hours round trip, book with transfer). Catamaran with lunch stop at Anse Cochon (7 hours, sails to the Pitons and back). Or a taxi to Pigeon Island for a low-key beach + rum-punch afternoon.

What we would skip on a single cruise day: Gros Piton hike (needs a 04:30 taxi start, tight for re-boarding), Marigot Bay (nice but drive time eats the visit).

Pigeon Island beach and calm turquoise water on St Lucia's northern coast, a good cruise-day option from Castries
