Wish you were here in St. Lucia!

St. Lucia Beaches—St. Lucia has so many fantastic beaches that you may have a hard time choosing which one to go to. All of the beaches in St. Lucia are public however; if you want to relax in a chair you will have to pay a fee. Some of the more popular beaches are Reduit Beach, Pigeon Point Beach, and Anse Chastanet. I prefer Reduit Beach because I can rent a chair there easily and have lunch at Spinnakers, a nice restaurant on the beach.

St. Lucia Rainforest—When was the last time you were in a rain forest? Well in St. Lucia you can not only see a rain forest but you can take a walk or even a hike! A visit to the rain forest in St. Lucia can be an exhilarating experience especially for someone who likes plants. You can learn all about the flora and fauna as well as the medicinal and alternative uses of various plants and trees.

St. Lucia Shopping—Were you born to shop till you drop? St. Lucia can take care of all your shopping needs. At La Place Carenage you can buy jewelry, bags, perfume, and gifts all at duty-free prices. At the JQ Charles mall in Rodney Bay there is a grocery store, as well as tons of shops or clothing, hats, glasses, jewelry, and even a pharmacy. In the capital of Castries you can shop in the markets for wonderful arts and crafts that are great to take home as souvenirs. Always be sure to bargain!

St. Lucia SpasGet ready to relax and be pampered like royalty at one of the many spas St. Lucia has to offer. You can receive the therapeutic treatments in a serene and tranquil environment that will melt all of your stress away. At the Coconut Bay Resort and Spa you can have a Caribbean body polish, body wrap or deep tissue massage. The Hotel Chocolat’s spa, CocoJuvenate offers a chocolate based massage where guests can have massages with cacao nibs and cacao oil.

St. Lucia Adventure—If you like thrills, excitement and challenging activities St. Lucia has it all. For a thrill you can fly through the air on a zip line.  Or sail through the air while kitesurfing. For excitement take a bike or segway tour around the island. If you want adventure you can hike the Pitons, or take a tour to the world’s only drive through volcano! You can also take a swim in the therapeutic mineral baths and cool off in the rushing waters of the Diamond Waterfall.  A climb to the top of the fort in Pigeon Island is an adventure onto itself.  When you reach the top you can have a fantastic view of the island and on a clear day you can see Martinique!

St. Lucia Night Life—The Friday Night Jump Up is a wonderful street party in the town of Gros Islet. Every Friday there is music played by a DJ and you can party in the streets. Many vendors sell delicious homemade St. Lucian dishes and all the bars are open to serve drinks. Another great party on Fridays is the Anse La Raye Fish Fry that’s held further south on the island. In the Rodney Bay area there are several night clubs such as the Late Lime where you can get your grove on as well.

St. Lucia Dining—In St. Lucia you can dine as frugal or as fabulously as you want. Some of the local dishes such as green fig and salt fish pie, roti, or coal pot stew can be bought for a few dollars. There are also fast food restaurants such as Burger King. You will be able to find more upscale or gourmet dining all over the island. Some of the more popular upscale restaurants are The Green Parrot and Dasheen. I have personally dined at both of these places and can tell you the food is excellent.

St. Lucia Festivals—Did you know that St. Lucia is home to one of the top festivals in the Caribbean? The Jazz Festival in St. Lucia is a world renowned festival that attracts top entertainers from all over the world. Carnival in St. Lucia is another great festival filled with parades and non-stop dancing. The costumes and pageantry of the festival are a sight to see.

St. Lucia Romance—For the past 5 years in a row St. Lucia has been awarded the “World’s Leading Honeymoon Destination”. Need I say more about the romance in St. Lucia?
